Our Clients Say:
Some of our clients have been kind enough to share their experiences of our collaboration:
“The Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council (WRWC) had a great experience working with Kevin Essington from City Greener Strategies on our latest five year Strategic Plan. We have a lot of strong leaders at WRWC and no shyness about sharing highly varying opinions about everything from our strategic direction to how to go about the planning process. Getting 40+ people in two languages working together and heading in the same direction was no small feat. Kevin did the research to inform us about the impact we make in the communities we serve and what we can do better. He also helped us develop working strategy teams to create goals and strategic plan language in addition to convening our whole staff and board. Kevin also helped us stay on track with regular meetings and specific tasks for each staff to complete. We ended up with a clear, concise, five year strategic plan with a year by year roadmap we are all proud of. We are thrilled to share our plan externally with our partners, funders, and constituents. Although our contract with Kevin is complete, Kevin checks in with us on his own time to see how we’re doing. We really feel like Kevin is more than a consultant, he’s been a real friend to WRWC as committed to our future as we are.” Alicia Lehrer, Woonasquatucket River Watershed Council
“Kevin was an incredibly helpful, insightful coach. He took a lot of time to get to know our business and out goals. He listened to our challenges, and offered creative solutions. He was quick to respond when we needed another opinion about pricing our programs, and his advice around our non-profit has been invaluable. He asked us a lot of questions, some that were difficult to answer but important for us to think about. We are really grateful for the time he put into helping us and learning about what we want to do.” Kelly McNiff, Farm and Forest Education Center
“Although Friends of the Kinney Faella Gardens was a new entity with no prior experience, no real knowledge of how to go about this, or what we were even looking for, Kevin took us on with professionalism and enthusiasm. He guided and encouraged us through the entire process. We are so grateful to have our new executive director working hard, our gardens open to the public, and our non profit moving forward!” Helen Northrup, Friends of the Kinney Faella Gardens
